Live Recording

    Roadside Park specializes in recording live sound. We record individual channels of instruments, vocals and ambient sound to capture the entire "live" sound while allowing for later "in-studio" mixing and editing. We can record from 1 to 16 tracks simultaneously using our "state of the art" M-Audio interface to Pro-Tools running on Dual Computers (one computer per 8 tracks).
    In order to do this, you need to provide a soundboard with individual channel "inserts" or "outputs" for us to get our sound. All good soundboards will have these. We will also need to be able to work with your soundman to provide us "non-clipping" signals. We can only record what is given us through the board (besides our ambient mics) so, it is very important a good sound man and board is used.     Once recorded, we will give you all of the individual track files of the recording and you can have them mixed or, you can have Roadside Park mix and master them in our studio for an additional charge. You can see details on the "Mixing & Mastering" page.
    The cost for recording is $30 per hour for 1 to 8 tracks and $50 per hour for up to 16 tracks plus, $0.50 per mile travel costs. Full day or weekend pricing is available.
